Indian Institute of Pulses Research Kanpur

The Indian Institute of Pulses Research is a premier organization of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research engaged in advance studies on pulses. The Institute has got high level of expertise in different disciplines such as soil science, microbiology, biochemistry, etc. The Institute laboratories are well equipped with modern analytical instruments such as AAS, Auto analyzer, Gas Chromatograph, HPLC, etc., for precise analysis of soil, manures, plants, and water quality attributes. For maintaining high soil productivity levels without any adverse impact on soil and plant quality characteristics, it is prerequisite to pre-determine the quality of soil, manures and water, the three major inputs identified along with chemical fertilizers to sustain high yield of crops on long term basis. It is therefore essential that the information regarding the technologies developed recently for the precise and accurate analysis of soil, plant, manures and water are disseminated among the scientific and developmental workers, engaged actively in the field of agriculture. This course is designed to impart both theoretical and practical knowledge about analytical methods to the participants from R & D organizations, agro-industries and NGOs.
